MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATOR ONBOARDING PROCESS:
STEP 1: Review Independent Contract Agreement and e-Sign:
Contact us to send you MLO Agreement documents. Call/Text (949)-532-8821 or email thebigmortgage@gmail.com Review the Agreement documents carefully. If you agree with our terms, please sign the contract agreement documents.
STEP 2: Pay Admin Fee:
Pay One-Time Non-Refundable Admin fee $99 only.(contact us for details). Please sent through Zelle.
STEP 3: Provide Access to Ram Realty and Mortgage Inc. dba THE BIG MORTGAGE.
Give access to your NMLS account to THE BIG MORTGAGE (NMLS#2459536) to create a Company Relationship and Sponsorship. Click the link and follow the steps to grant access and to change your employer.
STEP 4: Creating Relationship and Sponsorship
THE BIG MORTGAGE will receive an email notification that you have granted us access to nmls account. Once access has been granted, the company will establish relationships and create sponsorship requests for you. Depending on the states it could take 2-4 weeks to get your license approved and active. Keep checking your nmls account and see if any documents or task is asked by the license regulator to approve your license.
STEP 5: Start Originating Loans:
After your sponsorship is approved by NMLS and your license is in Approve and Active status, you may officially start originating Loans.
STEP 6: Training and Learning Begins:
After your nmls license is in approved and active status, you may start your training and learning process.

Loan Officer is considered a Self-Employed person. We hire Mortgage Loan Originator as 1099 employee. 1099 document will be issued at the end of the year.
We pay your compensation within 24 hours. All required documents and compliance requirements must be meet before we send your checks out.
THE BIG MORTGAGE do not charge any monthly fees. However, if you are using any 3rd party services, tools or technology to grow your business, each loan officer is responsible to any such 3rd parties fees themselves.
Yes, We provide training and support either you are a new Loan Officer or Experienced Loan Officer.
Yes, as a licensed MLO, you are allowed to process your loan files yourself.
YES, you can use any third party company that you prefer to use for your clients.
We will set you up with a sub-account with one of our approved credit vendors. Each loan officer is responsible for their billing with each credit vendor.
Yes, you can run your own advertisement. However it is very important that your ads meet Compliance requirement. All advertising must show THE BIG MORTGAGE name. This applies to any form of advertising, including, but not limited to, print, radio, television, and the internet. Any form of advertising without obtaining approval from us will lead to immediate termination.
We can help you with how to generate your own leads. How to purchase third party leads. But, at present moment, we do not provide free leads.
No, we do not provide office space. All of our MLO's work remotely. There is no requirements for loan officers to come to our office. 99% of our work is perform virtually, through Zoom meeting, email, phone, website.
An MLO with an ACTIVE DRE MLO license endorsement does not need a DFPI MLO license to work for a CRMLA or CFL company. However, an MLO with an INACTIVE DRE MLO license endorsement must obtain an MLO license from the DFPI to work for a CRMLA or CFL company.
For currently licensed real estate salespersons, holding an ACTIVE DRE MLO license endorsement means that you are employed by (1) a properly licensed real estate broker which holds an active MLO license endorsement as a sole proprietor, or (2) a licensed real estate corporation which holds an active MLO license endorsement. As a salesperson, once your employment with a properly licensed MLO real estate broker is terminated, your MLO status will be changed from active to inactive and you will have to obtain an MLO license from the DFPI in order to continue to work for a CRMLA or CFL company.
For currently licensed real estate brokers, holding an ACTIVE DRE MLO license endorsement means that (1) you hold an active MLO license endorsement as a sole proprietor, or (2) you are employed as a broker associate by a properly licensed real estate broker which holds an active MLO license endorsement as a sole proprietor, or by a licensed real estate corporation which holds an active MLO license endorsement. As a broker associate, once your employment with a properly licensed MLO real estate broker is terminated, your MLO status will be changed from active to inactive and you will have to obtain an MLO license from the DFPI in order to continue to work for a CRMLA or CFL company.
