WHy Join the big mortgage?

We are inviting Mortgage Loan Originators (MLO’s) to join THE BIG MORTGAGE. It could be a great choice for various reasons, depending on your career goals and aspirations. Here are some reasons why you should consider joining THE BIG MORTGAGE

  1. Who We Are: THE BIG MORTGAGE is the dba name for Ram Realty and Mortgage Inc. Ram Realty and Mortgage is a Real Estate Brokerage Company and Mortgage Brokerage Company. 
  2. No Minimum Closing Required: We do not have any minimum transaction/loan closing requirements. Close your deals when you have clients. We do not pull our sponsorship, we do not ask you to leave the company even if you do not close any single transaction in a year. We consider you as a part of our family. You can hang your license with us as long as you want.
  3. No Desk Fees, No Monthly Fees. The Big Mortgage do not have any desk fees or any monthly fees. Our fees are transparent. We do not have any hidden fees.
  4. Go Independent: Work as an Independent Loan Officer. You are considered as a 1099 employee but not a W2 employee. You get paid as a 1099 Self-Employed contractor.
  5. Dual Transaction OK. If you are California licensed Real Estate Agent and Mortgage Loan Originator, we allow you to do a dual transaction. Represent your client as a Real Estate Agent and Mortgage Loan Originator in the same transaction. 
  6. Training and Support Provided: No one is perfect. Either you are new in the mortgage industry or you have several years of experience, we are always here to support you. Our goal is to make you succeed and help you close more deals.
  7. Third Party Fees: Loan Officers and Real Estate Agents are responsible to pay any third party fees involved during their transaction or growing their business or managing their business. The company is not responsible and liable to pay such fees.  (For example- email subscription, credit Report fee, Calyx POS, third party marketing services, CRM services, third party loan processor, Point-of-sale system (POS's and many others.)
  8. Offer your clients Wholesale Rates: As we are a mortgage brokerage company, we work with so many wholesale Lenders. Give your clients Wholesale mortgage rates. 
  9. Process Loan file yourself:  We do not have an in-house processor. Loan Officers can process his/her loan files themselves. You may also hire a third party Loan Processor if you need. You handle and control your loan pipelines yourself. 
  10. Direct Communication with Lenders: As a licensed Loan Officer, you get direct access to Lender's Broker portal. You can price your loan yourself. You may contact directly to each and every lenders if you have any questions. Assigned Account Executive will be available for each lender to help you. 
  11. Wholesale Lenders: Submit your loan to lenders you prefer. We have lenders for all types of loan that you want to submit and close. We keep adding lenders as needed. You may close residential, commercial & Business deals with us. 
  12. Save more on your commission checks: Our brokerage has the lowest compensation fee split in the mortgage industry compared to other mortgage companies. Many other companies take money from your commission checks more than 30%, where our company has a very small split. Therefore, joining us means you save more money, putting more money in your pocket and paying very little to the brokerage.
  13. Residential and Commercial Transaction OK: Closed Residential and Commercial deals with us, subject to your state approval and licensing.
  14. Work from anywhere: We do not have any physical office. You are welcome to Work remotely, work from home. Close your deals from anywhere inside the USA.
  15. Industry’s best compensation Split. We offer the industry’s best compensation split. We do not have any hidden fees. We offer the industry's best compensation split to Loan Officers.
  16. No stress, work freely. We are flexible. There is no minimum number of loan closing requirements per month with us. We do not want you to take any stress and pressure. We know many companies have minimum loan closing requirements per month if you want to work with them, otherwise they remove your sponsorship. But we are different from others. Close your deals when you have clients.
  17. Get paid quickly. We pay your commission check as soon as we receive the wire from the escrow. We do not hold your checks.
  18. Zero Tolerance Policy: THE BIG MORTGAGE has a Zero tolerance policy for any fraudulent activities. There is no excuse for this. If we found you are involved or doing any fraudulent activities, we will directly report to State and Federal licensing agencies. Also, your licensed will be suspended immediately and you may lose your license permanently.

Frequently Asked Questions

Loan Officer is considered a Self-Employed person. We hire Mortgage Loan Originator as 1099 employee. 1099 document will be issued at the end of the year. 


We pay your compensation within 24 hours. All required documents and compliance requirements must be meet before we send your checks out. 


THE BIG MORTGAGE do not charge any monthly fees. However, if you are using any 3rd party services, tools or technology to grow your business, each loan officer is responsible to any such 3rd parties fees themselves.


Yes, We provide training and support either you are a new Loan Officer or Experienced Loan Officer.


Yes, as a licensed MLO, you are allowed to process your loan files yourself. 


 YES, you can use any third party company that you prefer to use for your clients.  


 We will set you up with a sub-account with one of our approved credit vendors. Each loan officer is responsible for their billing with each credit vendor.  


 Yes, you can run your own advertisement. However it is very important that your ads meet Compliance requirement. All advertising must show  THE BIG MORTGAGE name. This applies to any form of advertising, including, but not limited to, print, radio, television, and the internet. Any form of advertising without obtaining approval from us will lead to immediate termination. 


We can help you with how to generate your own leads. How to purchase third party leads. But, at present moment, we do not provide free leads.


No, we do not provide office space. All of our MLO's work remotely. There is no requirements for loan officers to come to our office. 99% of our work is perform virtually, through Zoom meeting, email, phone, website. 


An MLO with an ACTIVE DRE MLO license endorsement does not need a DFPI MLO license to work for a CRMLA or CFL company. However, an MLO with an INACTIVE DRE MLO license endorsement must obtain an MLO license from the DFPI to work for a CRMLA or CFL company. 

 

For currently licensed real estate salespersons, holding an ACTIVE DRE MLO license endorsement means that you are employed by (1) a properly licensed real estate broker which holds an active MLO license endorsement as a sole proprietor, or (2) a licensed real estate corporation which holds an active MLO license endorsement. As a salesperson, once your employment with a properly licensed MLO real estate broker is terminated, your MLO status will be changed from active to inactive and you will have to obtain an MLO license from the DFPI in order to continue to work for a CRMLA or CFL company.


For currently licensed real estate brokers, holding an ACTIVE DRE MLO license endorsement means that (1) you hold an active MLO license endorsement as a sole proprietor, or (2) you are employed as a broker associate by a properly licensed real estate broker which holds an active MLO license endorsement as a sole proprietor, or by a licensed real estate corporation which holds an active MLO license endorsement. As a broker associate, once your employment with a properly licensed MLO real estate broker is terminated, your MLO status will be changed from active to inactive and you will have to obtain an MLO license from the DFPI in order to continue to work for a CRMLA or CFL company.


 A mortgage loan originator (MLO) is an individual who, for compensation or gain, or in the expectation of compensation or gain, takes a residential mortgage loan application or offers or negotiates terms of a residential mortgage loan.
